What excited us the most about the brief from our friends at KitchenAid® was the opportunity to create a truly branded KitchenAid® paradise. The multi-room display consisted of various working parts all requiring careful attention to ensure consistent branding and overall interconnected feel to the space.
When Qantas came to us asking if we could make a 1:1 scale airplane entirely out of fabric displays – we weren’t quite sure how we’d do it – but being experts in ‘out of the box’ displays we knew we couldn’t down the challenge. Everything had to be exact to scale because they’d be using them for spatial training for their new Dreamliner plane. All we were given to begin with were the technical drawings for the actual plane!
The great thing about our solution was, not only was everything able to be flat packed into carry bags to use anywhere – the Qantas staff ended up bonding over the team assembly sessions to put all the galleys together. It was a massive challenge that we were very proud to be a part of ! Team Fab even won the ‘Best use of Gamification/Simulation for Learning Award’ at the AITD Excellence Awards!
Another great example of how awesome our mixed materials come together. We loved coming up with various elements for Telstra’s demo area including
A Custom tensioned fabric ATM tablet holder, made from our 32mm dia aluminium poles with a simple fabric sock to cover + tablet attachment.
Customised our standard triangular bench with tablet attachments to suite the top for easy install and pack down.
58″ touchscreen kiosk , great for sharing a variety of content on your digital platforms and more!
Lastly we made over 20 custom benches ! All CNC routed and welded custom monitor mounts, corian specialty laminates and detailed joinery work. They even allow for silicon welt fabric surrounds, a lovely high end finish !
